Description of the Victorian Townhouses of Santa Barbara Vacation Rental Townhouse
Luxury Queen Anne Victorian Townhouses -- Walk to Downtown & the Beach
Specific information about property
This property has a charming 150 year old Queen Anne Victorian cottage in front (one of Santa Barbara's oldest Victorians, built in the mid 1800's; & restored in 1998.) Behind the cottage we built a duplex in the same Queen Anne Victorian style, with a tower and witch's cap as a central element. See the photo.
There are 2 townhouses in the duplex, which each sleep up to 6. They are tastefully furnished with an eclectic mix of family heirlooms & new craftsman style furniture. Features include hand-inlaid wood floors, a bay window/window-seat, & a fireplace in the living room. Both units have decks.
We have also recently furnished the Cottage when we moved to an active retirement community; and, are making it available for rent, now. Like the townhouses, it can also sleep up to 6 people. The great room is furnished with oak leaf chairs set at a glass-topped octagonal oak pedestal table, a leather couch and a leather loveseat, and occasional chairs. The den has a double bed, pullout sleeper sofa, widescreen TV, and occasional chair. Each bedroom has a queen bed and night stands. One bedroom has twin chest of drawers and a wall-hung full length mirror; the other, a dresser with mirror atop it. Victorians did not have closets. So, each bedroom has an armoire, instead.
The “A” open-air 20'x25' deck between the cottage and the duplex is furnished with a hot tub, a gas grill, which are property amenities. There is also a glass-topped wrought iron table with umbrella and 6 chairs, & additional seating -- ideal for a BBQ, board games, &/or sunbathing.
The “B” covered deck is cozily ensconced in the tower creating a wonderful outdoor room. Situated just off the kitchen, the deck can become a private retreat for morning coffee, an outdoor room that's just perfect for a luncheon, a bridge game, an intimate candlelit dinner, or a nightcap.
