The river is 75 feet from front of house, with Class 2 Rapids, known as a popular spot for kayaking, rafting, fishing. Also located in the entrance to Hatcher Pass-- historical gold mining area, popular for hiking, sight seeing, berry picking. There are 2 flight seeing businesses in Willow.
We're 75 miles north of Anchorage, so If you're flying in, rent a car and head this way. You'll enjoy the small town of Willow and surrounding area with all of its beauty, wildlife, and recreational opportunities! Many winter activities, also. Home of the World famed Iditarod Sled Dog Race.
