Murphy has an ambiance that is lacking in many of the surrounding mountain towns. It has antique shops, coffee and ice cream parlors for tourists and locals and there is a 1929 movie theatre which shows current moview. If you like nature, Murphy and the surrounding area offer numerous opportunities to explore. The intersection of the Appalachian and Bartram Trails is about 30 minutes from the chalet on Wayah Bald and is a must see view. And, there are many, many waterfalls and hiking trails from which to choose. For the folk craft lovers, visit John Campbell Folk School, a nationally known facility. For flea market lovers, there are four large flea markets within a 20 mile radius of Murphy. There is truly something for everyone! Murphy is a jewel!

 Additional information about amenities:

The awesome view is perhaps the most obvious amenity but the King Chalet is very comfortable, tastefully decorated. Another amenity is the close location to a major highway but with no audible noise and the close proximity to the town of Murphy. Another important feature is the gentle circular driveway and the car port in which one can park a car. Also, we own just one property and we also live in Murphy so if you need an assistance, we are immediately available.

 Rates, Cancellation And Refund Policy:

Our nightly rates are $95.00 a night with a three night minimum; $550.00 for a week; and $1650 for a month. We require a small deposit when the reservation in made with the balance is due two weeks prior to arrival. A deposit is refundable with a four weeks notice. Because we are "mom and pop" property owners--we just own the one rental here in Murphy--we do not charge additional fees for either tax or cleaning. We absorb these in our rental fees. We like to "keep it simple."

 Deposits:

For nightly and weekly rentals, a deposit of one night is required. For a monthly rental, a deposit of one week is required.
