Our nearly new 2-BR 2-bath home is just 600' from the ocean and white sand beaches. It is on the ocean side of scenic US highway A1A, just 7 miles south of St Augustine Beach on an island called Summer Haven. Only 1 hour to the Daytona Speedway, we are 1/4 mile from the Matanzas Inlet, and 2 miles north of Marineland where you can swim with dolphins. It is fully furnished, all you need is your food and clothes and maybe a beach towel. With today's high cost of travel, you can stay here, have a white sand beach vacation and not spend so much. Plus there's plenty to do: fishing, boating, golfing, great restaurants, state and federal parks, and historic St Augustine. It's approx one hour to the Jacksonville or 2 hours to the Orlando airports.
Description: Our home is on a natural "Old Florida" island called Summer Haven. It has cathedral ceilings and tile floors, with a open living area and lots of windows. There are double glass doors in breakfast area opening out onto a covered porch that spans the side of the home surrounded by native trees. The observation deck on the east end offers a view of the ocean and the Inter-Coastal Waterway over a forest of gnarly wind swept native oak, and magnolia trees. The neighborhood is a quiet single-family residential area with a mixture of owner-occupants and vacation rentals, The beautiful white sand beach is just a 2 minute walk away and is nearly private as automobiles are not allowed and parking is scarce for outsiders. We recently enclosed the downstairs so there is a garage for your car and the photo has not yet been updated.
