Vail Mountain is the largest single skiing mountain in North America. The newest addition to the back bowls is the fantastic Blue Sky Basin. Snowboarding, Child Care Centers, and Ski Schools are at all the ski mountains as well as indoor and outdoor ice skating. There is Nordic skiing at the Vail Golf Course, Beaver Creek's McCoy Park, Camp Hale, and Ski Cooper. Beaver Creek and Arrowhead are 15 minutes away. And Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Ski Cooper are all within 45 minutes driving time.
There is a wide variety of marvelous restaurants, shops, movie theaters, museums, outdoor concerts, and libraries in Vail Village, Lionshead, Cascade Village, and Beaver Creek.
Golf, tennis, biking (both mountain and road), white water rafting, horseback riding, fishing, backpacking, camping, gondola rides, and music venues (indoors and out) are all available within easy walking and driving access during the summer.
