Rivendell is within one hour of the North Rim of Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. We overlook the North Fork of the Gunnision River Valley. Within a half hour drive there are many wineries, orchards, organic farms, art galleries and studios, bison and elk ranches, most available for tours. Seasonal events include, Hotchkiss Stockdog Trials, Paonia Cherry Days, Crawford Pioneer Days, Cedaredge Applefest, Delta County Fair in Hotchkiss, Delta Pow-Wow, Paonia Harvest Festival, Eckert Crane Days, Annual Hotchkiss Antiques Fair. Numerous bicycle opportunity, both paved road tours and dirt biking. World famous Black Canyon of the Gunnison fishing.

Rivendell Retreat's forty acres encompasses: two spring-fed year-round streams, over four miles of hiking trails through diverse wildlife habitats, old-growth juniper forest, riperian eco-systems, lichen-rock hillsides, life-bird list of over sixty species, over one hundred varieties of flowers (native and domestic). Secluded peaceful setting with expansive views of surrounding mountains, mesas and valleys. Art gallery/studio and art classes available on premises. Classroom and meeting facility available for workshops, classes and conferences. One RV hookup (water and electric) available.
We will customize tours and activities to suit your interests.

Rates for the Rivendell Retreat Vacation Rental Cottage

 Rates, Cancellation And Refund Policy:

Guesthouse Cottage: $70 Single or double occupancy.
Additional guests, up to 4 total, $15 each.
Weekly, for 1 to 4 people----$450
Monthly rate available. Advance reservations are strongly encouraged.
Full payment is due on arrival.
Rates are subject to change, and do not include sales and lodging tax (6.8%).
Check-in and check-out are flexible, with pre-arrangement.
Discounts are available for non-profit groups.
A 48-hour advance cancellation of your reservation is required for a refund of your reservation deposit, less a 20% handling fee.
For stays longer than four nights, a $50 non-refundable cleaning fee is required.

 Deposits:

For reservations, a deposit of one night's lodging is due upon making a reservation. We accept personal checks, travelers' checks, money orders or cash. We will temporarily hold your reservation until we receive your deposit, and we will email or phone you upon receipt of your reservation deposit.
For group use of Taniquetil Lodge, a $50 cleaning deposit is required.
For pets, advance permission required; plus $10 per night pet rate.
