Description of surrounding area and attractions
If you are adventurous you might want to take a 5-minute hike down the steep path to nearby Caret Bay for surfing, snorkeling, swimming, or a little fishing. More accessible and populated beaches such as world-famous Magens Bay, downtown Charlotte Amalie featuring fabulous restaurants and duty free shopping, golfing and fun tourist attractions are all within a short 15 minute drive. More outdoor adventures await a bit further afield on the island's East End. Catch the ferry at Red Hook Terminal for a visit to quaint and historic nearby island of St. John, only a 20 minute boatride away or spend an afternoon exploring Coral World Marine Park, St. Thomas' outstanding undersea aquarium. Great swimming and snorkeling can be found at Sugar Bay Beach and Pineapple Beach on the East End with many options for recreational water sports located nearby. After days filled with fun and sun drive the short distance back to the villa's serene verandas to enjoy beautiful starlit evenings.
