The house is located between 2 beach kiosks serving excellent fish, fresh shrimp, fries, beer, wine, etc. It is very pleasant sitting with the locals, eating delicious food while watching the waves come in and listening to catchy Brazilian tunes! There are other restaurants, pizzerias and LAN internet access within a 10-minute walk of the house, and a bakery for fresh buns every morning just a 2-minute walk away. Buses into Marica or to Ponta Negra can be caught a 2-minute walk from the house, and buses into Rio, Saquarema (Brazil's surfing capital), Cabo Frio or Buzios can be caught from the main bus terminal in Marica. Marica has everything you will need: restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, a hospital, church, museum, clothing stores, an outdoor market, fresh fish markets, you can buy whatever you need. Vinicius can be your personal tour guide for a cost of approximately $75 US/day (car and driver, maximum 4 passengers) for trips into Rio or anywhere else in the area.

The house has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and an ocean view. The middle bedroom has 2 single trundle beds (which could be pushed together to make a king-size bed), and the back bedroom has a double bed. The house is newly furnished with custom granite and marble tables, granite countertops in the bathrooms and kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need. Beach towels,bathroom towels, linens, beach mats and hammocks are provided.
