Princeville is a lush, luxurious community on the north shore of Kauai (the "Garden Isle"). This quiet residential neighborhood intermingles with the world-class, awarding winning, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. -designed Princeville Golf Courses (the Prince and the Makai).
But there's lots to do even if you're not a golfer! You might... hike the Na Pali trail. Kayak up the Hanalei River into the bird refuge. Watch for whales and red footed boobies at the Kilauea Lighthouse. Explore the gardens at Na 'Aina Kai. Stroll along Princeville's walk-jog path into Princeville center (and reward yourself with a Laeppert's ice cream).
Beaches ring the island, of course, but why not stay local? You're a 10 minute walk from beach at Princeville. Or, load the trunk of the car with beach towels, mats, chairs and cooler, and drive to nearby Anini beach, Ke'e (at the beginning of the Na Pali trail), or Hanalei Bay long crescent-shaped beach.
