This lovely family owned cape is just a ten minute walk away from the village stores and restaurants. Five minutes in the other direction takes you to the school's playground and basketball court. One mile away is the local Quarry for swimming. The house is just about 100 years old now with hardwood floors , and a deck off the kitchen. You can be on the second floor and not hear the sounds of activity on the first floor. Perfect for an undisturbed afternoon nap or just a quite place to read. The libray a great resource for internet or movies and is a 5 minute walk away. The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable. The exception is the small bedroom with the bunk beds located between two other bedrooms. The bedrooms are located on the second floor. There is a view from the deck of Indian creek , one of the many inlets from the ocean. Having a car on the island is a conveince. Although it can be left on the mainland in Rockland. Description of surrounding area and attractions
The Island is Maine ,with it's rocky coast line and many Pine trees. Ther are countless views andplaces to explore.You are after all surrounded with the sense of being near the ocean. The lobster's have been said to be the best tasting of maine and are shipped world wide. You can purchase them right by the Ferry at the Fisherman's Co-Op. Being a fishing village of approximately one thousand residents off season it has a small town feel about it. There are church dinners , Kayaking instructions and rentals, bicycle rentals, fitness and weight lifting gym. There are many land reserves for hiking and exploring, wildlife veiwing ,fishing, sailing, boating and sight seeing. You can travel to the north end of the Island and take a quick trip across the thoughrow fare to North Haven for what they have to offer including a golf course, restaurant and stores.

The house has a full bath on the first floor and a half bath upstairs. There is a washer and dryer off the kitchen. The kitchen has the regular items utensils,microwave,gas stove ,portable dishwasher ,bread machine,coffe maker, and coffe bean grinder. a telvision with vcr and dvd player, radio/cassett/cd player, a video library, telephone with calling any where in the United States and Broadband( no overseas we suggest picking up a calling card or other means). There is a gas grill on the deck

Rates, Cancellation And Refund Policy:
Weekly rentals June 750.00, July and August $950, September rate $750.00 Deposit of $200. Refundable up to six weeks before rental week contracted. Full payment due one month prior to rental week. Cancelation after six week period nonrefundable. Sales tax is 7.5% on rental fee. Off season rates apply between October and May. House can be rented off season by the month or other arrangements.
