San Felipe Beach houses located in the well known "campo" of Rancho Percebu. These fabulous "Round Houses" are perched on a low bluff (only steps to the beach) overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Experience the spectacular sunrises and sunsets and the big tide changes each day from your own casita. When the tide is in swim in warm waters. When the tide is out, explore tide pools and collect shells!

 Specific information about property

Our houses are located at the north end of Rancho Percebu, a private community of American retirees. Our lovely beach houses are "round" so that no matter where the breezes are coming from, there is cross ventilation and views from almost every part of the house. Choose between Casa Cielo ( a studio arrangement that sleeps 2 to 6 comfortably) or Casa Baja or Casa Grande (3 bedroom houses); these houses sleep 6 to 10 comfortably. Each house has water views, a fully equipped kitchen, Direct TV, and CD player. The houses are in our own compound which offers security and plenty of parking for trucks, trailers and room for "toys" (quads, jet skis).
Fishing is fabulous right in front of our houses. There are also fishermen who will take you out for a modest fee.
Percebu has it's own restaurant and cantina; and several times a year people come from all over to participate in a "Poker Run" through the desert and back to the Cantina where the winners are declared!

We are located approximately 15 miles from the downtown area of the sleepy little village of San Felipe. The residents of San Felipe make their livings fishing, shrimping or serving the tourist trade. For those that don't know, the famous Baja Fish Taco originated in San Felipe. During the winter months the shrimp boats ply the waters in front of our houses. Fresh shrimp can be purchased from vendors on the Malecon or at our houses when a vendor comes to Percebu.

The restaurants range from sidewalk stands to more elegant indoor dining. In all, the food is fresh and wonderful! The Malecon is the "boardwalk" of San Felipe. It runs along the waterfront with the beach on one side and lots of shops and eating places on the other side. At the end of the day, the local fisherment pull their pongas (fishing boats) up on the beach. Throughout the year are various festivals so there is always something special to do.
