Mesa Verde is a must see place before you die! This is where the Anazasi lived at 1200AD, cowboys and miners ruled at the turn of the century, and ranching is still vital to the economy. Ride the steam train at Durango or a stagecoach in Mancos. Go river rafting, fishing, hiking, horseback riding. Be sure to plan enough days for all the experiences!
