Sermide is a quiet village on the banks of the Po river in the Padana plain. Villa Castellani is a late eighteenth century villa with a beautiful park surrounding it. The villa can accomodate up to 8-10 people for a minimum of one week stay.
Entering you will find a spacious hall (60 sq. metres) from which on your right-hand-side you can have access to two living-rooms provided with: satellite TV, DVD device, music CD’s, books in English and a piano.
On the left-hand-side of the hall, instead, you enter the dining-room and the kitchen. On the same floor, there is an access point to Internet and two bathrooms, one of which with a shower.
On the first floor there are five double bedrooms, a large connecting hall and three bathrooms. Four of these bedrooms have A\C (winter\summer time).
The 2 acres garden is characterized by ancient and precious trees: the large plane-tree at the entrance shows a plate indicating year 1802 !

Description of surrounding area and attractions
Although situated in the center of Sermide, Villa Castellani di Sermeti offers a very quiet and restful stay thanks to its beautiful park.
Sermide is located on the extreme eastern edge of Mantova’s province on the banks of the Po river, Italy’s longest river, on the meeting area of three beautiful Italian regions: Lombardia, Veneto and Emilia.
Villa Castellani was originally built in the eighteenth century and restructured and enlarged at the end of the nineteenth century. Thanks to a further recent restoration and to a tasteful interior decoration, country houses as Villa Castellani have regained their charm of one hundred years ago.
The swimming-pool (9 x 4 metres) is surrounded by a nice orchard. In the same area you will find a little cottage with a dressing-room and a toilette, as well as an external shower.
