The Akialoa Beach Property is located on the sunny, West side of Kauai in Kekaha, across the street from one of the most beautiful stretches of white sand beaches in the world. Kekaha is an old Hawaii sugar plantation town and the gateway to the Waimea Canyon, described by Mark Twain as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Three miles to the East of the Akialoa Beach Property and Cottage is Waimea Town, where Captain Cook first landed in September 20, 1778. Waimea Town is a bustling little town with two supermarkets (Ishihara's Market and Big Save), two banks, a credit union, a video rental store, a movie theatre and several good restaurants. Enjoy your next Hawaii vacation in Kekaha where the pace is relaxed and similiar to "Old Hawaii".
