The beach is the longest stretch of white sand beach in the state. It is great for long walks, suntanning, swimming, bodysurfing, and metal detecting. The closest snorkeling beach is only 15 minutes away.
We are also on the foothills of Waimea Canyon with its majestic vistas and incredible hikes. There is a museum at the top as well as a restaurant and gift shop.
Minutes away you can take a helicopter or bout tour. These will take you to inaccesible spots that are breathtaking.
In the town of Waimea you will find the westernmost brewpub in the United States. Also the famous Jojo's Shave Ice Shop.
There is also golf, surfing, windsurfing, sport fishing, bicycle riding, horseback riding, shopping, etc.
