Kailua-Kona is the best place to stay on the island. The weather is the best and yet you have amenities nearby to make your stay enjoyable. Great beaches, including the best snorkelling on the island, are just a few miles down the road with a shuttle bus in case you want to avoid renting a car. Shopping and restaurants are all centrally located. The view in the condo is superb and the lanai is arranged for living. If you can tear yourself away, this is a great base to explore the heights of Mauna Kea, fishing and the active volcano, to name just a few of the highlights. I have been exploring the big island of Hawaii for 30 years and I can tell you there is a lot to see and do. Come visit us this year!
