Description of surrounding area and attractions
This new cabin is located between Hiawassee and Clayton, Georgia, high in the Appalachian Mountains, near the Alpine Village of Helen, Georgia. Area activities include swimming, fishing, boating, white water rafting, water and snow sking, hikiing, golfing, fine dining, area vineyards, and visitng local artisans. The area is steeped in folklore and Native American history. Historical Nacoochee and the Sautee Valley are a short drive to the south. Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia, can be seen from the front porch of this home. An entry to the famous Appalachian Trail is only a few miles to the east.
