Description of surrounding area and attractions
A village on the eastern end of Long Island on an inlet of Long Island Sound. A major whaling port in the early 19th century, it is today primarily a resort. Sag Harbor is in the heart of hamptons and is no more than a ten minute drive from Bridge Hampton, East Hampton, or Southampton.
This property in Sag Harbor is within a five minute drive to the bay; ten minutes to the ocean or local vineyards such as Channing Daughters & Wolffer.
The village center boasts great restaurants ranging from seafood and american fare to less traditional, yet still exceptional, japanese and indian cuisine.
Sag Harbor has its own movie theater, which primarily shows foreign and independent films. For the traditional wide released movies, both East Hampton and Southampton contain a united artist movie theater.
Sag Harbor is also home to the Bay Street Theater- which hosts a variety of plays throughout the summer.
