The town of Spello has an authenticity that has not yet been spoiled by tourism. It sits on the Southern slope of the imposing Mount Subasio. With a population of only 6,000, spello has a rich history which dates back to Roman times. It's an ideal place for foreign ers to experience the charm of a small medieval Italian village and to live like a local, experience local festivals and roam the antique / outdoor markets. It's equally well-suited as a home base for daytrips or weekend excursions to man of Italy's most popular tourist destinations (such as Rome, Florence, Siena, Lago Trasimeno to name just a few).
Within walking distance to public transportation (including a train station which connects to Florence, Rome, and beyond), local bakery, grocery stores, cappuccino bars, restaurants, post office, and churches. Tours of Roman ruins, cooking classes, horse back riding and spa visits can easily be arranged through a local travel agent in Spello.

Sleeps 2 in double bed and 2 on couch. One large open space, comprised of a bedroom, a living room space - a small kitchenette complete with most amenities - and a small dining room area.
As you enter, there is the large living/dining room, with a table and 4 chairs. On the right is a double bed, which can be converted to 2 single beds, and an antique armoire. The mosaic tiled bathroom, with ceiling carved into the rock, has a shower and bidet. The kitchen has a stove top (no oven).
