For many people, their most lasting impression of northern Brittany is its spectacular 1,200 kms of rugged coastline with its wonderful sandy bays and rocky coves. Its historic towns and ancient fishing ports are fascinating places to visit; and of course, to sample the fabulous seafood such as fruits de mer, moules, scallops, whelks, lobsters and the most succulent oysters.
There are also many creperies which offer traditional Breton cuisine as either galettes, which are the traditional Breton pancakes made from buckwheat flour or crepes, which are traditional sweet pancakes made with white flour. The picturesque town of St. Malo is a short drive away, whilst mediaeval Dinan is but 15 minutes from Launay Arot. The nearest coast is within a thirty minute drive with wonderful clifftop walks and beautiful, gently sloping sandy beaches.
