Walk two blocks to river for clams and crabs and fishing off the dock (nets and buckets available). Launch your kayak into Pleasant Bay (rentals in town). Ride your bike two blocks to the farm stand for homemade bakery products, fresh produce, butcher and fish cutters; local gournet coffee shop; newspaper and card store; deli for prime meats, wines and picnic supplies; pizza shop; two fine dining restaurants; and the best homemade ice cream stand. One mile to Nauset Beach on the Atlantic Ocean (parking pass available); one mile to Skaket Beach on Cape Cod Bay (great tidal pools for floating and famous sunsets); or one mile to Crystal or Pilgrim Lakes for fresh water swimming and kid fun; one mile to large child's playground.
