18 miles from Charlottesville, home of Monticello, Ash-Lawn Highlands, and the University of Virginia. 20 miles from Montepelier estate. 10 miles to the Blue Ridge parkway (Skyline drive) and the George Washington National Forest. Many wineries within 30 miles, all open for tastings. Lots of antique shopping.
