Cancun is Cancun and there is no other city like it. I think I don’t have to describe a whole lot, just this, if you want to stay away from the tourists and stay in a nice and quite residential area instead of the big hotels, Villa Maya de Cancun is the place to stay. It is the first house I bought in Mexico after I moved to Cancun from Germany. The architect made more than 40 changes to the original design and gave it a Mayan Mexican touch. The location is great as well, 3 miles from the hotel zone, 2 blocks from The Gran Plaza shopping Mall and Walmart, 1 block from Bodega Gigante, another shopping center, 400 ft from the bus stop to the hotel zone and 300ft from a 24 hr mini supermarket.
