This West Coast property is in the village of St Germain Sur Ay and has panoramic views across to the Channel Islands, on a clear day it is possible to make out the houses on Jersey and also on legendry Islands of Les Ecrehou.
Furthermore, the beach at the bottom of the garden was nominated by The Sunday Telegraph as one of the most beautiful in all of France.
The house is in the Cotentin and Bessin Marshlands Regional Natural Park , 145,000 hectares of preserved natural beauty amid the sand dunes and estuaries.
We have maximised the stunning views over 3 floors with a raised elevation overlooking the sea. The feature that really strikes you when you stay here is the incredible clarity of the light – it must be something to do with all that sea and clean air.
The sunny living/dining room is perfect for relaxation, or contemplating the glorious 'sunsets' over the sea, or enjoying the log fire in the winter.
From the dining table, everyone can enjoy the sea view.

Description of surrounding area and attractions
Located in Normandy, on the Cherbourg Peninsula (La Manche), in the beautiful Cotentin and Bessin Regional Natural Park, on the West Coast.
Not only are our 2 beach houses located in beautiful countryside that has been designated as a conservation area and as a Regional Park, we are also near the World War 2 invasion beaches, the Atlantic Wall, the towns and cities nearby include Bayeux, Caen, Mont St Michel, Coutances, Paris a 2 and half hour train ride away.
The only problem we have here is that there is just too much to see and do!
The beaches are beautiful white sand that stretch for miles and have oyster and mussel beds. We recently had someone stay with us who is based in Brussels and works in the Fisheries department for the EU commission, he advised us that these beaches are rated as ‘A’ category.
Lessay Abbey is just 6 miles away with La Haye du Puits a busy market town 8 miles. The house is in the village of St Germain Sur Ay, a traditional French seaside town.

The kitchen is modern, very well equipped with eye-level oven, fridge-freezer, everything from dishwasher to olive oil.
Upstairs are a double bedroom and a twin room with fabulous sea views, and looking onto the garden are another twin room and double with en suite shower room, a family bathroom. Downstairs is a twin bedroom with a bathroom next to it with a separate WC – this bedroom is especially good for grandparents or anyone who doesn't want to climb stairs. Garden enclosed, garage.
