Akumal's bays are world renowned for diving and snorkeling. The barrier reef along this coast, which protects Half Moon Bay, is rated as one of the seven underwater wonders of the world. From Half Moon Bay, the water is often so clear that sea life, such as turtles, can be seen from the building without even entering the water.
Within walking distance of the condos is the famous Yalku Lagoon, which is often equated to swimming in an aquarium. Also, there are many wonderful small restaurants tucked around the Bay for your convenience. The common phrase here is 'No shoes required!'
