You'll want to spend time in Charleston, especially during the day when the old straw market is open. Charleston and the nearby plantations are filled with rich history, and there are many great restaurants there, too. The entire island is linked with walking and biking paths. Kiawah is also well known for its golf and tennis. Bike rental is available on the Island by the day or week. No pets, please. No smoking.
