Our 3-bedroom, 3 bathroom, comfortable house is located on an incredible golden sandy beach near Marica, one hour's drive east of Rio in the Costa do Sol, Region of the Lakes. Our house is walled and gated, with an alarm system on the doors and windows. However, this is a safe area, and the locals are very friendly and pleasant. Many wealthy families from Rio own homes in Marica and spend only weekends at the beach, so normally it is very quiet and only fills up at Carnaval. The area is perfect for taking walks on the beach, playing in the sand, or having a campfire on the beach. There is a fishing rod at the house for fishing from the beach, like the locals. The private pool at the front of the house is fenced for safety; there's a dolphin fountain and an outdoor shower. Hammocks swing from the front porch. The garden overlooks the beach and ocean. At the back of the house there is a large outdoor BBQ area. Our caretaker, Vinicius, speaks excellent English and is very helpful.
